<dc:title>High Resolution Agricultural Irrigation Water Use Dataset In China</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.j00240.00098</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>Irrigation, as an indispensable basic practice in agricultural production, plays an important role in ensuring food security and promoting agricultural development. Accurately estimating irrigation water usage is not only crucial for achieving sustainable agricultural development and scientific water resource management, but also essential for maintaining regional ecosystem stability. This dataset is based on remote sensing and artificial intelligence technology, providing irrigation water consumption data with a spatial resolution of 500 meters in the Chinese region over the past 20 years (2004-2019). This dataset can support decision-makers in formulating more precise agricultural irrigation policies and promote the improvement of water resource management efficiency, especially in arid and water scarce areas. In addition, this dataset provides a solid foundation for assessing the long-term impact of climate change and population growth on agricultural water demand, and provides important references for water resource management research in other countries and regions through methodological universality and flexibility.</dc:description>
