2026-05-08 Human-Wildlife Conflict Research Dataset in Web of Science, 2004-2024. doi:10.57760/sciencedb.j00266.00012 en This dataset contains bibliometric data on human–wildlife conflict retrieved from the Web of Science (WOS) Core Collection database. The data sources include the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-Expanded) and the Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI). The data search was conducted using the advanced search mode with the query: TS = ("Human-wildlife Conflict") OR TS = ("Human Wildlife Conflict"), and the document type was limited to "Article." The time span was from January 1, 2004, to December 31, 2024, and the data retrieval was completed on January 2, 2025, resulting in a total of 3,828 English document records.The data were exported from the WOS database in plain text (.txt) format on a yearly basis. Each file corresponds to one year and is named in the format "YYYY.txt" (e.g., "2004.txt"), forming a total of 21 data files for the years 2004–2024. Each file contains complete bibliometric information, including but not limited to authors, title, source journal, abstract, author keywords, Keywords Plus, publication year, journal name, volume and issue pages, DOI, author affiliations, and cited references. The text file structure follows the WOS standard export format, with each field marked by specific tags (e.g., AU for authors, TI for title, SO for source journal, AB for abstract, DE for author keywords, etc.), and records arranged in order.
