<dc:title>Data for "Promotion or Hindrance? The Impact of Managers’ Climate Risk Perception Bias on the Quality of Corporate Green Technological Innovation — Evidence from Non-Financial A-Share Listed Firms in China"</dc:title>

<dc:description>The dataset takes non-financial listed companies in China's A-share market from 2009 to 2023 as the sample range. After excluding financial industry companies, ST and * ST companies, deleting missing values of core variables, and performing 1% and 99% quantile truncation on continuous variables, 14324 annual observations of companies were finally obtained. The data comes from the following channels: enterprise financial data and governance data come from the CSMAR database; The green patent data comes from the China National Intellectual Property Administration, in which the number of green invention patents granted is the core proxy variable for the quality of green technology innovation of enterprises; The climate risk text data was obtained through text analysis in the Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) section of the annual reports of listed companies. Word2Vec word embedding technology was used to construct a climate risk exclusive dictionary for word frequency extraction; The global climate risk integration database data comes from the GCRID database; The regional climate risk index and policy uncertainty data are sourced from publicly available statistical data. This dataset contains a total of 14 main variables: the dependent variable is the number of green invention patent authorizations (GI); The core explanatory variable is management's climate risk perception bias (BIAS); The mediating variables include Enterprise Green Investment (GIS) and Financing Constraint Index (KZ); The moderating variables include low-carbon city pilot policies (LCC), carbon emissions trading policies (ETS), artificial intelligence technology investment (AI), and tax avoidance degree (BTD); The controlled variables include enterprise size (Size), profitability (ROA), cash flow from operating activities (CFO), equity concentration (Top1), enterprise growth (Growth), and capital intensity (Capital_intense). </dc:description>
