<dc:title>Proxy‑indicator data of core SJLW‑2 from Sanjiao Longwan</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.jee.0000h</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>This dataset contains multi-proxy data of the SJLW-2 sediment core from Sanjiaolongwan in the Longgang Volcanic Cluster region of Northeast China, which records the process of ecological environment and climate change over approximately the past 240 years. The first 20 cm of the core was continuously sampled at a 0.5 cm resolution, and the 20&amp;ndash;47 cm section was also continuously sampled at a 0.5 cm resolution, providing a high temporal resolution. The dataset includes the following variables:Depth (cm): Core depth, representing the vertical distance from the sediment-water interface.Age (cal. a BP): The calibrated age obtained based on AMS 14C, 210Pb and 137Cs dating, combined with the Bayesian age-depth model (Bacon).TOC (wt.%): Total organic carbon content, which reflects the lake primary productivity and organic matter input from the watershed.TN (wt.%): Total nitrogen content, which reflects the nitrogen enrichment status in sediments. It is often used together with TOC to determine the source of organic matter.C/N: Carbon-nitrogen ratio, used to distinguish between endogenous (algae, low value) and exogenous (terrestrial plants, high value) organic matter, and to indicate the degree of organic matter degradation.&amp;delta;13C（wt.&amp;permil;）: Stable carbon isotope ratio, indicating the source of organic matter and paleoclimate environment changes.&amp;delta;15N（wt.&amp;permil;）: Stable nitrogen isotope ratio, reflecting the intensity of the nitrogen cycle process and the source of nitrogen.Sediment accumulation rate（cm/yr）: Linear sediment accumulation rate, reflecting the vertical accumulation thickness of sediments, and indicating the stability of the sedimentary environment and hydrodynamic conditions.Mass accumulation rate(g/cm2/yr): Mass accumulation rate (MAR), which reflects the accumulated mass of dry sediment matter. It excludes compaction interference and truly indicates the evolution of watershed erosion intensity and sediment flux.OCAR(mg/cm2/yr): Organic carbon accumulation rate, reflecting the burial flux of organic carbon on the lake bottom per unit area per unit time. It is a direct indicator for measuring the carbon sink strength and carbon sequestration capacity of lakes.TNAR(mg/cm2/yr): Total nitrogen accumulation rate, reflecting the burial flux of nitrogen in sediments per unit area per unit time, indicating the long-term nitrogen budget balance and potential eutrophication trend of lakes. All TOC, TN, &amp;delta;13C, and &amp;delta;15N indicators were tested at the Nanjing Institute of Geography and Limnology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and underwent unified quality control processing. Age processing was completed at the Beta Analytic laboratory. The dataset has no missing values and features good continuity and comparability. This dataset can be used to reconstruct the climate change and ecological evolution process of Sanjiaolongwan in the Longgang Volcanic Cluster region over the past 240 years, and provide high-resolution lacustrine sediment evidence for the study of lake nitrogen cycling in Northeast China and the history of human activity changes in this region.</dc:description>
