<dc:title>Current research status and patent analysis dataset on Isodon Rubescens</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.nprd.000di</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>In order to systematically review the current research status and development trends of Isodon Rubescens, this study retrieved core collections from CNKI and Web of Science. After screening, 335 relevant English publications and 469 Chinese publications from January 2006 to September 2026 were included. Simultaneously, using the IncoPat patent database, a simple homology merge resulted in 2,606 global invention patent applications and 759 granted invention patents, constructing a combined literature and patent dataset. The Chinese and English literature was analyzed using CiteSpace 6.2.R3 to examine publication trends, authors, countries, institutions, funding sources, references, keyword co-occurrence and clustering, timelines, and emerging trends. For the patent data, IncoPat analysis tools, GraphPad Prism, and Excel were used to analyze global invention patent application trends and validity, applicant rankings, technological applications, legal status of granted patents, ranked granted inventors, and technical composition of granted invention patents, with a focus on trends and validity of granted invention patents in China and their technological applications. The dataset includes raw data, two Excel sheets for data analysis, and 30 figures. This dataset can provide a reference for selecting future research directions for Isodon Rubescens, optimizing patent strategies, and facilitating clinical translation. It also offers an analytical framework that can serve as a reference for the modernization and translational research of other authentic medicinal materials.</dc:description>
