<dc:title>Comparative study dataset of the antioxidant activities of total saponins, total flavonoids, and total polysaccharides of Panax notoginseng roots</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.nprd.00188</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>This study extracted total saponins (NTS), total flavonoids (NFT), and total polysaccharides (NTP) from the roots of Panax notoginseng, and purified them to determine their purity and content. Compare the free radical scavenging activity of NTS, NFT, and NTP through DPPH and ABTS free radical scavenging experiments; Using H ₂ O ₂ - induced skin fibroblasts (HFF) to establish an oxidative damage model, the intracellular malondialdehyde (MDA) content, superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione (GSH) activity, reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation, as well as the expression levels of type I collagen, type III collagen, matrix metalloproteinase 1 (MMP1), and matrix metalloproteinase 3 (MMP3), were detected to comprehensively compare the improvement effects of the three on oxidative stress response. Further utilizing the UVB induced 3D skin injury model, the antioxidant activity of NTS, NFT, and NTP was comprehensively evaluated by examining the effects of ZO-1 and Claudin-1 expression.&amp;nbsp;</dc:description>
