<dc:title>Raw dataset on the effects of SCU on metabolic phenotypes, inflammatory responses, and gut microbiota in an experimental obesity model</dc:title>

  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>his dataset was generated from an animal study evaluating the effects of SCU on experimental obesity. The dataset is provided as an Excel workbook and includes longitudinal body weight, body weight at week 10, food intake, feed efficiency, adipose tissue index, liver index, serum inflammatory cytokines, liver function parameters, and gut microbiota-related data. The inflammatory parameters include interleukin-6, interleukin-10, and tumor necrosis factor-&amp;alpha;. Liver function parameters include alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase. Gut microbiota data include the ACE index, observed species index, Shannon index, beta-diversity ordination coordinates, taxonomic relative abundance at the phylum and genus levels, and predicted microbial functional pathways.Individual worksheets correspond to the figures presented in the associated study and contain the data used for graph generation and statistical analysis. A README worksheet will be included in the revised file to describe the experimental design, group definitions, sample identifiers, analytical methods, measurement units, data processing procedures, and worksheet contents. The dataset supports result verification, independent statistical analysis, and further research on natural-product interventions for obesity and gut microbiota dysbiosis.</dc:description>
