<dc:title>Study on the alkaloid constituents from Aconitum franchetii Finet et Gagnep.-raw data</dc:title>

<dc:description>The chemical constituents of the roots of Aconitum franchetii Finet et Gagnep. were investigated in this study. The total alkaloid fraction was obtained by acid extraction followed by alkalization, and then separated and purified mainly by silica gel column chromatography. The structures of the isolated compounds were determined on the basis of HR-ESI-MS, IR, and NMR spectroscopic data. A total of 17 alkaloids were identified, including a new aconitine-type C19-diterpenoid alkaloid, 14-O-trans-cinnamoylindaconine (1), and 16 known compounds.Among them, villosutine (2), yunaconitine (3), chasmathinine (4), leucanthumsine B (5), franchetine (6), indaconitine (7), chasmaconitine (8), mesaconitine (9), foresticine (10), bikhaconine (11), 8-dehydroxyl-bikhaconine (12), chasmanine (13), talatisamine (14), acoforine (15), and ezochasmanine (16) were assigned as C19-diterpenoid alkaloids, while N-methyllaurotetanine (17) belonged to the aporphine-type isoquinoline alkaloids. Compounds 3, 5, 9–13, 15, and 17 were reported from A. franchetii for the first time.In addition, the inhibitory effects of compounds 1–3 on the proliferation of HepG2 hepatocellular carcinoma cells were evaluated using the MTT assay. The results indicated that none of these three compounds showed obvious antitumor activity at a concentration of 50 μmol/L.</dc:description>
