<dc:title>How auditory rhythm perception shapes speech production: The influence of neural synchronization and rhythmic patterns</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.psych.01116</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>This dataset contains behavioral and preprocessed EEG data from 86 native Mandarin speakers (33 male; mean age 21.77 &amp;plusmn; 3.27 years) who completed three speech production tasks: read‑aloud (n = 30), phrase‑recall (n = 29), and disordered‑words arrangement production (n = 27).&amp;nbsp;The EEG data were recorded using 64 Ag/AgCl electrodes (10&amp;ndash;20 system) with a 500 Hz sampling rate, bandpass 0.01&amp;ndash;70 Hz, and referenced online to the left mastoid. Offline preprocessing was carried out in EEGLAB and FieldTrip (MATLAB 2017b). The raw signals were band‑pass filtered (0.5&amp;ndash;30 Hz) with a Hamming‑windowed sinc FIR filter, down‑sampled to 100 Hz, and re‑referenced to the average of the left and right mastoids. Ocular and other physiological artifacts were removed using fastica independent component analysis and the ICA‑Label plugin, and epochs with amplitudes exceeding &amp;plusmn;100 &amp;mu;V were rejected.</dc:description>
