<dc:title>List of examples of electron diffusion regions in the Earth's magnetotail</dc:title>

<dc:description>This dataset contains current sheet parameters in the Earth's magnetotail electron diffusion region (EDR), including local coordinate system, current sheet thickness, magnetic field strength at the boundary of the current sheet, Harris current sheet fitting correlation coefficient, slope and offset, Alfven velocity of inflow electrons and outflow electron velocity. This study used the magnetotail EDR case list provided by Wang et al. in 2022, based on the magnetic field data observed locally by MMS satellite, the local coordinate system was calculated using the minimum variance analysis method; Based on the Harris current sheet model, fit the Harris current sheet fitting correlation coefficient, slope, and offset; Based on its current sheet characteristics, it can be divided into two categories: Harris current sheet and bifurcated current sheet. Among them, the Harris current sheet that satisfies the Harris current sheet has a fitting correlation coefficient higher than 0.6. The thickness of the current sheet and the magnetic field strength at the boundary of the current sheet are obtained based on the fitting slope and offset. For cases that satisfy the bifurcated current sheet, the thickness of the current sheet is obtained using timing analysis; Based on observation data, the outflow electron velocity is obtained, and finally, the Alfven velocity in the inflow region is obtained based on the average magnetic field strength and average electron number density in the inflow region. </dc:description>
