<dc:title>Zero-pressure Balloon Wind Speed Data of the National Space Science Center in 2019 (Qinghai)</dc:title>

  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>This dataset contains in-situ three-dimensional wind, temperature, pressure and relative humidity observations collected by a zero-pressure balloon in the stratosphere over the Qinghai Plateau, produced from the SENSOR (Stratospheric Environmental respoNses to Solar stORms) flight experiment. The long-endurance zero-pressure balloon was equipped with a self-developed 40 kHz 3D acoustic anemometer, radiosonde-derived integrated TPH sensor module and GNSS positioning system for field measurements. The flight observation was implemented on 27 August 2019 near Da Qaidam (95.37&amp;deg; E, 37.74&amp;deg; N), capturing high-frequency time-series records over a 1900-second period at float altitudes ranging from 21.3 km to 25 km.During data acquisition, raw acoustic signals from transducers were sampled at 1 MHz, delivering raw 10 Hz relative wind measurements. Cross-correlation algorithms were applied to eliminate electronic delay biases, and the gondola motion velocity from GNSS was vectorially superimposed to derive absolute zonal, meridional and vertical wind components under the Earth coordinate system. The dataset has undergone outlier spike removal and cross-comparison validation against radiosonde observations. It can be applied to scientific studies on fine-scale stratospheric wind variations, turbulence power spectral features, gravity wave disturbances, evolution of the stratospheric quasi-zero wind layer, and trajectory forecasting of near-space balloon platforms.</dc:description>
