<dc:description>This Supporting Information provides supplementary experimental and numerical details for the study entitled “Can instrumented spherical indentation truly sense its own induced damage?” It includes cross-sectional surface roughness measurements, a comparison of dislocation-density calculation methods based on XRD peak broadening, and a single-element finite element procedure for estimating void volume fraction. Additional results include enlarged XRD diffraction peaks, an analysis of frame-stiffness effects on the indentation-derived modulus, spatial maps of modulus variation, and enlarged cross-sectional SEM images at different indentation depths. The procedure used to identify the elastoplastic constitutive parameters of P92 steel is also described in detail.</dc:description>
